Trophies installation. ASFA Degrees 2018

Selected works from the Trophies series, started in 2016. Conquered experiences take shape in the material world as artwork-trophies, driven by an aesthetic that navigates through the grotesque, the bizarre, and at the same time, the captivating.

A practice in ceramic sculpture grounded in figurative Expressionism, reinterpreting mythological narratives through a posthuman approach.

Glazed ceramic elements

The work comprises approximately 1,600 handmade, unique glazed red clay ceramic elements, each measuring around 8 × 8 × 4 cm (with slight variations). Each piece fits in the palm of a hand. Together, they form a conceptual “yield,” referencing fruits associated with the cycle of life, particularly the pomegranate.
